Continuity Lettuce Seeds (Organic)

Continuity Lettuce, a cultivar originating from Europe, has gained recognition for its resilience and ability to provide continuous harvests throughout the growing season. Within the Continuity Lettuce family, there aren't distinct subspecies, but this cultivar is celebrated for its consistent and prolonged production. The plant presents a compact, rosette-like form with loose, frilly leaves that boast shades of vibrant green, contributing to its attractive appearance in gardens. Continuity Lettuce's leaves offer a mild, sweet flavor and a tender, crisp texture, making it a favored choice for salads, sandwiches, and garnishes. One of the distinctive features of Continuity Lettuce is its ability to yield successive harvests without bolting or turning bitter, ensuring a steady supply of fresh greens throughout the growing season. When planting from seed, Continuity Lettuce thrives in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil with partial shade to shield it from excessive heat. Sow seeds directly into the ground or containers, maintaining consistent moisture for successful germination. Optimal germination temperature ranges between 60-70°F (15-21°C). Regular watering and providing adequate spacing, around 6-8 inches apart, promote healthy growth and leaf development. Additionally, regular harvesting of outer leaves encourages continuous regrowth and maintains the plant's productivity. Continuity Lettuce's ability to provide a sustained harvest without compromising flavor or texture makes it an excellent choice for both home gardeners and commercial growers seeking a consistent and reliable source of fresh, flavorful greens.
