Backstory / History O'Reilly is one of Colonel Stuart's most capable rogue operators in Die Hard 2 — a former elite soldier who chose loyalty to his commander and a mercenary payday over the oath he once swore. Part of the tight-knit team that seizes Dulles Airport, O'Reilly brings professional efficiency and tactical competence to Stuart's operation, making him a dangerous adversary for John McClane in the tight corridors and snowbound runways of the film's set pieces. His willingness to follow Stuart into treason speaks to the dark bond that can form in elite units — loyalty to the team above all else. Collectors building a Die Hard 2 mercenary squad will find O'Reilly an essential figure to complete Colonel Stuart's inner circle.
