We choose our pure leaf oregano for its full flavor. Closely related to the delicate marjoram herb, oregano is pungent and strong and enhances many recipes, from its classic use in pizza sauces and pasta sauces, to its role in maximizing the flavors in soups, stews, meat recipes, and salads. Of course, we love it as the sprinkling on top of a good Greek salad! Native to Italy and Mexico (and fortunately grown in the U.S. today), Mediterranean peoples so loved oregano that in Greek oregano means "joy of the mountain." Contains .96 oz
