Order a Banana

"Order a Banana" Approximate Size: 56x36-inch Created masterpiece in 2024 or 2025 Black ink on street canvas (cardboard). For sale. Description Drawn in black marker on reclaimed cardboard, this expansive work shows a lone figure confidently walking, standing, or backing up while a long procession of ants marches steadily across the surface. Some climb his body, others continue undisturbed along their path. The scene feels playful at first glance, but slowly reveals a meditation on coexistence, scale, and unnoticed persistence. Artistic Review The wide composition is striking in its restraint. Vast negative space amplifies the contrast between the oversized human figure and the tiny, disciplined line of ants. The artist’s loose, expressive line work gives the figure warmth and personality, while the ants—repeated with rhythmic precision—introduce structure and inevitability. The cardboard’s wear, tears, and edges become part of the narrative, reinforcing themes of use, time, and passage. Critique This piece succeeds through quiet irony. The figure appears powerful and carefree, yet is literally covered in smaller lives moving with purpose. It gently inverts ideas of dominance and importance, suggesting that momentum does not require size or recognition. Framed or unframed, the raw cardboard elevates the work into a modern folk allegory—humorous, humble, and quietly profound. Original, one-of-a-kind artwork. Hand-drawn on reclaimed cardboard, signed by the artist.
