Orca Core Tri Short

There are few decisions more important to the success of your racing and training days than which tri short to wear. Make the wrong choice, and you could be in for hours of friction and chafing. Never fear that outcome with the Orca Core Tri Short, which has been developed from waist to cuff with the particular requirements of competitive triathletes in mind. For the short material itself, Orca has turned to their reengineered AquaStretch material. a higher gauge fabric and a tighter knit to make a lighter more breathable piece that also results in being much more durable. Most importantly, the material has a water resistance thanks to the Enduro water repellent coating, which minimizes water absorption, so that you will not feel like you are doubling your body weight in the swim portion of your race. By adding a touch of spandex to the interior of the material, Orca make sure that the Core Tri Shorts will be comfortably form-fitting while also capable of transferring the moisture from your body to the exterior of the material in order to evaporate when you are out of the water. Similarly, they have placed the Vapour material at the side panels so that your body will be able to cool itself effectively even on the hottest, most humid days. The hardest part to get right in a tri short inevitably is the insert. The last thing you want is to have something that acts as a sponge in water, but you'll definitely want it to offer at least a modicum of padding since bike saddles can only cushion so much. With the 6mm thick Italian Tri-Support chamois, Orca has found the perfect balance for the sport's necessities. The slim design suits the fact that you will be off your bike more than on it in a triathlon, while the 120kg density will provide the essential cushioning your soft tissue will need in the heat of the battle. And on the purely practical side, Orca have also added a covered pocket at the center of your back that will offer ample room to store your gel packs while remaining easily accessible. If you have added a wetsuit to your quiver, all triathlon apparel items from Orca are designed to be worn under their wetsuits for the swim section and to dry quickly during the T1. The Orca Core Tri Short will give you the comfort and performance you require whether you are just out on a Sunday afternoon at the local reservoir, or in the middle of your target race of the summer.
