Orbital Motion - Espresso Blend

Brandywine Coffee Roasters' Orbital Motion is a rare find: an espresso blend that refuses to be pigeonholed. Built from lightly roasted South American and African coffees, this cosmic combination delivers the sweetness and body espresso demands while retaining the clarity and brightness filter coffee lovers crave. It's a bridge between brewing worlds, and it's exceptional in both. Tasting NotesExpect honeysuckle florals on the nose, a core of brown sugar and warming nutmeg through the body, and a smooth peach finish that lingers without cloying. The acidity is present but refined—bright enough to cut through milk in a cappuccino, gentle enough to showcase origin character in a pour over. The body is medium-full, silky rather than syrupy, with a clean finish that invites another sip. Brew MethodsEspresso: Orbital Motion shines pulled as a traditional shot. Start with 18g in, 34g out over 25 seconds at around 200°F. The light roast means you'll want to ensure full extraction—dial in your grind to avoid sour notes. Milk drinks benefit from the brown sugar sweetness and nutmeg spice that frame the milk beautifully. Pour Over: Use a medium-fine grind, 26g coffee to 410g water. Bloom with 50g for 30 seconds, then pour in intervals (160g at 0:30, 80g at 0:55, 80g at 1:05, 40g at 1:35). Total brew time around 2:30-3:00. You'll be rewarded with floral complexity and stone fruit sweetness. Drip: A medium grind works beautifully in automatic drip machines. The blend's versatility means it won't turn bitter or flat in batch brewing. About the RoasterBrandywine Coffee Roasters approaches blending as an art form, selecting components that complement rather than compete.
