Orange Baby Terror 20 Watt Micro-Lunchbox Solid-State Guitar Amplifier Head

The Baby Terror is the micro-lunchbox member of the solid-state Baby series. It has the classic lunchbox footprint, but packs the tone shaping and modern control of its siblings: Gain, Volume, three-band EQ, and Presence knobs, and the Tubby Switch for extra low-end richness at cleaner gain settings. A second, footswitchable volume gives you instant boosts without changing your tone. Around the back, you’ll find an effects loop, balanced line out with ground lift for easy recording, plus an 8/16 Ω speaker output. From desktop practice to rehearsal rooms and small stages, it’s travel-friendly, dependable, and ready for every genre — a small head with serious punch.     Highlights Solid-state Baby series performance Compact all-solid-state micro head, no warm-up required. Just plug in, dial up, and play. Tubby switch for bigger cleans Engage the Tubby switch for bigger cleans, while boosting that low-end warmth Effects loop and balanced line out The effects loop preserves clarity, while the balanced line out enables studio-ready direct recording. Protective bag Included The included padded gig bag keeps your Baby Terror protected on the road.     In More Detail Don’t let the size fool you: the Baby Terror is built to do more than a typical micro head. The all-solid-state design delivers 20 W with the feel and immediacy players expect from Orange, while keeping ownership simple and maintenance-free. Dial in anything from chimey cleans to saturated drive using Gain and Volume, then fine-tune with a three-band EQ and Presence control. Hit the Tubby switch to bring in extra low end at lower gain settings for a fuller, rounder clean sound; flick it off as you push the gain for a tighter, more focused grind. Need a lift? The second, footswitchable volume works as a reliable solo boost without reshaping your EQ. For modern rigs, the effects loop keeps delays and reverbs clear, and the balanced line out (with ground lift) lets you record straight into an interface and apply your own IRs in a DAW. All of this without hauling a full stack.   Big control in a true lunchbox head The Baby Terror is the step up that micro heads have been waiting for. It keeps the popular Micro Terror’s lunchbox size, but replaces the stripped-back layout with a full tone-shaping toolkit: three-band EQ, Presence control and the Tubby switch. That means you can set a genuinely fat clean, then move into drive without feeling boxed in by a single tone control. Add 20 W of all-solid-state power and it’s compact enough for backpacks, yet punchy enough for rehearsals and small stages. Built for real-world playing, not just bedroom volume On stage, the Baby Terror behaves like a full-size amp. The footswitchable second volume works as a dedicated boost, so you can jump forward for leads without touching your EQ or gain. It’s a simple feature, but it changes how usable a small head feels in a band mix. Add the FX loop and you can keep delays, reverbs and modulation effects clear and defined, whether you’re running a compact pedalboard or a bigger rig. Interface-ready recording with your own workflow and IRs For home recording and desktop setups, the Baby Terror’s balanced line out turns the amp into an interface-friendly front end. Run straight into your DAW, hit the ground lift if you need to tame some hum, and then shape the sound with your preferred IRs and plug-ins. Because the output is designed to give you the pre-amp signal, it slots neatly into modern workflows, offering silent tracking, quick demos, or re-amping later. It’s a practical upgrade that makes a micro head feel genuinely studio-ready.   Specifications: Features: FX Loop, Footswitchable second volume control, Balanced Out, Tubby Switch, Padded Gig Bag Included CONTROLS FS Volume, Volume, Gain, Tubby Switch, Presence, Treble, Middle, Bass OUTPUT POWER 20 Watts UNBOXED DIMENSIONS (W X H X D) 165 x 140 x 100mm / 6.5 x 5.51 x 3.94” UNBOXED WEIGHT 1.5 KG (3.31 lb)
