Description Specifications Compare Shipping & Returns Why ROS Built-In Golf Sim Picture Mode OPTOMA'S FIRST PURPOSE-BUILT SIM PROJECTOR The UHZ35ST is the first Optoma projector with a built-in Golf Sim picture mode. Color, contrast, and brightness are pre-calibrated for indoor sim use straight out of the box. No tuning required, the picture is right when you power it on. The most sim-ready projector Optoma has ever shipped. True 4K UHD NATIVE 3840x2160 IN A COMPACT CHASSIS True 4K UHD resolution (not pixel-shifted) at just 6.61 pounds and under 11 inches wide. Most 4K projectors are bulky and heavy, the UHZ35ST puts native 4K in a chassis you can ceiling-mount alone without help. The smallest 4K sim-ready projector we sell. 4.4ms Input Lag FASTEST SHOT-TO-SCREEN IN OUR LINEUP Just 4.4ms input lag at 1080p 240Hz, For golf simulation, that means the ball flight renders instantly after impact, no perceptible lag between hit and on-screen result. Critical for accurate feedback in fast practice sessions and competitive multiplayer. Easier Install Than It Looks COMPACT BODY + 0.496:1 SHORT THROW FITS ANY ROOM 0.496:1 ultra-short-throw ratio projects a 100-inch image from just under 4 feet away. Compact 6.61-pound body mounts to a single-person ceiling install in 30-45 minutes. Most owners DIY it with basic tools; SimSquad walks through any install step if you'd rather have help. HDR10 + HLG PROPER HDR FOR MOVIES AND GAMING HDR10 and Hybrid Log Gamma support for accurate high-dynamic-range playback. Doubles the bay into a home cinema or 4K HDR gaming station, not just a sim projector. The HDMI 2.0 inputs include eARC for connection to a soundbar or AV receiver. 30,000-Hour Laser DECADES OF USE, NO LAMP REPLACEMENT DuraCore laser engine rated for 30,000 hours of operation. At 4 hours of sim use per day, that's over 20 years before the laser dims. Mercury-free, energy-efficient, and maintenance-free for the lifetime of your sim bay. What is the Optoma UHZ35ST? The Optoma UHZ35ST is a compact 4K UHD short-throw laser projector with a built-in Golf Sim picture mode, the first Optoma projector explicitly tuned for indoor golf simulation. True 4K UHD (3840x2160), 3,500 lumens, 0.496:1 ultra-short throw, 30,000-hour DuraCore laser engine, HDR10 + HLG support, and an ultra-low 4.4ms input lag. Weighs just 6.61 lbs and fits typical home sim ceiling installs. Why Choose the Optoma UHZ35ST? Honest framing: the UHZ35ST sits in the premium 4K tier of our projector lineup. If you want true 4K resolution, you're future-proofing your sim against next-gen course rendering, and you want a built-in Golf Sim picture mode that doesn't require tuning, this is the right pick. If you're fine with 1080p output and want to spend less, our Optoma ZH350ST or GT2400HDR deliver excellent sim image quality at a lower price. Not sure if you need true 4K or if 1080p is enough? SimSquad will tell you straight based on your screen size and how you plan to use the projector. Frequently Asked Questions Is the UHZ35ST's Golf Sim picture mode really tuned for golf? Yes. Optoma specifically calibrated this preset for indoor golf simulation: color temperature for green grass and fairway tones, contrast for ball flight visibility on impact screens, and brightness optimized for typical sim room ambient light. Power on, select Golf Sim mode, hit balls. No tuning required. Is true 4K worth the price premium over 1080p? Depends on your screen size and how you use the bay. On a 120" or smaller screen with golf simulator software at typical viewing distance, the difference between 1080p and 4K is subtle. On a 130"+ screen or for movie / sports use, 4K is noticeable. If you're future-proofing for years of use and value image sharpness, 4K is worth the price. If not, the ZH350ST at 1080p saves you in the projector budget. What is 4.4ms input lag and why does it matter for golf simulation? Input lag is the delay between the signal arriving at the projector and the image appearing on screen. At 4.4ms (1080p 240Hz mode), the UHZ35ST is among the fastest projectors on the market, For golf simulation, lower lag means the ball flight renders sooner after impact, closer to real-time feedback, For casual sim use the difference is barely noticeable; for competitive multiplayer or training drills where reaction matters, it's significant. Will the UHZ35ST fit my sim room? The 0.496:1 ultra-short throw ratio projects a 100" image from just under 4 feet of throw distance. Fits most home sim rooms with 8+ foot ceilings cleanly. If your room is constrained, the compact 6.61-pound body also mounts more flexibly than larger projectors, SimSquad will spec it for your specific room. Does the UHZ35ST work with GSPro, E6, and TGC? Yes. Standard HDMI 2.0 inputs (with eARC) accept any standard simulator software signal. Compatible with GSPro, E6 Connect, TGC 2019, and every other sim platform we ship. Pair with a 4K-capable gaming PC for full-resolution output. How heavy is the install? Light. The UHZ35ST weighs 6.61 pounds and ceiling-mounts cleanly with our RoS Ceiling Projector Mount. Most home owners install in 30-45 minutes with basic tools. The lens shift and keystone correction handle alignment if your mount isn't perfectly centered on the screen, SimSquad walks through the install if you'd rather not DIY. What's the warranty on the Optoma UHZ35ST? Optoma's standard projector warranty applies. Reach out to SimSquad for warranty questions or extended-coverage options on this projector.
