The Opsytec Radiometer RMD Pro is a precision measurement instrument designed for professional UV and visible light analysis, ideal for laboratory, industrial, and production environments. Engineered with advanced technology and over 30 years of expertise from Opsytec Dr. Gröbel GmbH, it provides highly accurate, reliable readings across a wide dynamic range with minimal noise. Its modular sensor system allows users to easily switch between ultraviolet and visible sensors, making it versatile for a variety of irradiation and illuminance applications. The RMD Pro features dual sensor inputs for simultaneous data capture, enabling multi-channel readings such as UVA irradiance and illuminance at the same time. Each sensor includes built-in memory for identification and calibration data, ensuring traceable and consistent performance. The integrated temperature sensor, multi-stage amplification, and 24-bit analog-to-digital converter guarantee exceptional measurement precision, even in variable environmental conditions. The newly designed diffuser provides excellent cosine correction and lateral uniformity, distributing radiation evenly across multiple channels. Measurement data are clearly displayed on the large graphic screen, and stored values can be easily transferred to a PC via USB. Using the included software, the RMD can be fully controlled remotely. The device operates on battery or external power supply and supports continuous data logging for up to 100 days. Typical applications include the measurement of UV LEDs, UVC disinfection systems, NDT and material testing, and occupational safety evaluations. It is also ideal for dose measurements, erythema-weighted radiation analysis, and verification of UVC surface disinfection processes. Technical Highlights: Dual-channel sensor operation High-resolution 24-bit AD conversion Measurement range spanning 7 orders of magnitude Excellent cosine correction with uniform diffuser Integrated temperature sensor for compensation USB data output and PC control software Operates via battery or power supply Continuous measurement recording up to 100 days Applications: UV LED and UV light source measurement NDT and material testing UV irradiation system monitoring Occupational safety and Heff/HUVA measurement UVC radiation and LED testing UVC surface disinfection validation Multi-channel and high dynamic range applications Technical specifications - RMD Sensor connectors 2, fully digital PC interface USB 2.0 Display Graphical, 128 × 64 px Display output 1 + 2 channels – irradiance and dose, min/max irradiance Dimensions 6.3 × 3.3 × 1.4 in (160 × 85 × 35 mm) Weight 0.55 lb (250 g) Power supply Internal Li-Ion battery, USB connection, 230 V plug-in power supply Internal memory 8 GB Sampling rate Adjustable: 1 s – 15 min Recording time > 2400 h Operating temperature 32 to 104 °F (0 to 40 °C) Storage temperature -4 to 140 °F (-20 to 60 °C) Humidity < 80%, non-condensing Use of RMD Technical specifications - Sensors for RMD Spectral range UVA, UVA+, UVBB Measurement range (typ.) 0 – 10 W/cm² Resolution 0.001 µW/cm² Spectral range UVB, UVC, VISB Measurement range (typ.) 0 – 1 W/cm² Resolution 0.001 µW/cm² Spectral range UVC (for occupational safety detection), erythema + UVA Measurement range (typ.) 0 – 10 mW/cm² Resolution 0.001 µW/cm² Dose range 0 – 100 MJ/cm² Illuminance measuring range 0 – 500,000 lx Resolution 0.001 lux Dynamic range up to 10⁷ AD conversion 24 bit Temperature sensor Integrated Dimensions Ø 1.6 in × h 1.4 in (Ø 40 mm × h 35 mm) Optical area Ø 0.24 in (Ø 6 mm) Weight 0.35 lb (160 g) Connection cable 6.6 ft (2 m) Operating temperature 32 to 140 °F (0 to 60 °C) Storage temperature -4 to 140 °F (-20 to 60 °C) Humidity < 80%, non-condensing
