Sharp Operating Scissors cut tougher tissue and are frequently used for dissecting. Blunt Operating Scissors are more often used for cutting materials such as sutures, tubing, or gauze. There are straight tips for superficial dissection and cutting, straight slender tips for more narrow fields, curved tips for deeper dissections, and curved slender tips for deeper, narrow fields.
