Open Minds White Vase

Open Minds, created by Ulrica Hydman-Vallien for Kosta Boda in 1986, is one of the most iconic expressions of her artistic vision. Featuring hand-painted faces and bold brushstrokes on mouth-blown crystal, the collection celebrates curiosity, individuality, and the importance of meeting the world with an open mind. The expressive faces invite dialogue, imagination, and human connection, reminding us to remain open to new ideas, perspectives, and possibilities. Today, Open Minds remains a timeless symbol of Ulrica Hydman-Vallien’s fearless creativity and belief that art should be both accessible and full of life.
