Open-box condition: This customer-return Eureka Mignon Specialita has been inspected, cleaned and tested for proper operation. It may show light cosmetic evidence of handling or prior use. Open-box availability is limited to the exact finish shown in the selector. Open-Box Eureka Mignon Specialita 55 This listing is for buyers who want the compact, quiet workflow of the Mignon Specialita at an open-box price. The 55mm flat-burr platform is aimed primarily at espresso, while Eureka’s stepless micrometric adjustment gives you the fine control needed to correct shot flow without jumping between fixed settings. The Specialita doses by time rather than weight. Its touchscreen stores single- and double-dose times, and a manual mode remains available for topping off a basket. Eureka’s sound-insulated Mignon chassis helps keep early-morning grinding more civilized, while the ACE system is designed to reduce clumping and static at the chute. Why This Open-Box Grinder Makes Sense Value: Save on a tested grinder rather than paying the new-unit price. Espresso control: Stepless adjustment supports small, repeatable dial-in changes. Fast daily routine: Timed dosing works well when one coffee stays in the hopper. Compact footprint: The Mignon body fits counters where a full commercial grinder feels oversized. Quieter operation: Eureka’s Silent Technology reduces mechanical noise and vibration. Before You Order Open-box units are individual pieces, so inspect the current photos and selected finish. Accessories and packaging can differ from a factory-sealed unit. The grinder carries the same applicable Espresso Outlet warranty as a new unit; current return terms are governed by the posted store policy. Best Fit Choose the Specialita when you want hopper-fed, timed espresso dosing. Choose the Mignon Zero if you change coffees often and prefer single dosing, or the Mignon Libra if you want the grinder to stop at a target weight. Open-Box FAQ Has this grinder been tested? Yes. Espresso Outlet inspects, cleans and function-tests open-box equipment before resale. Will it look brand new? It may have light cosmetic marks or signs of prior handling. Open-box pricing reflects that possibility. Does it grind by weight? No. The Specialita uses programmable timed dosing. Use a scale while dialing in and adjust the timer as beans age. Is it mainly for espresso? Yes. Its adjustment and portafilter workflow are best suited to espresso. For complete new-unit details, see the Eureka Mignon Specialita 55. A proven compact espresso workflow for less The open-box Mignon Specialita is a practical choice for a home barista who wants stepless espresso adjustment, programmable timed doses and Eureka’s quiet-grinding design in a compact body. The 55 mm flat burrs provide a meaningful step up from entry-level grinder platforms while the touchscreen keeps single and double dose settings easy to reach. Getting the most from a timed-dose grinder Dial the burr setting first, then program the timer from several weighed test doses. Recheck dose output as beans age or the hopper level changes. Use the adjustable fork to position the basket close to the chute and limit stray grounds. Clean the chute and burr chamber more frequently when using oily dark roasts. Open-box Eureka Mignon Specialita FAQ What cosmetic condition should I expect? This customer-return grinder has been cleaned, inspected and tested. Light marks from handling or setup may be visible. The exact available finish is shown in the selected product variant. Is the warranty the same as a new Specialita?Yes. Espresso Outlet’s open-box home grinders have the same warranty coverage as new units unless the listing expressly provides different terms. Does the Specialita dose by weight? No. It uses programmable grinding time. If integrated weighing is important, compare the open-box Mignon Libra 55. Is this grinder only for espresso? It is optimized around an espresso-focused hopper workflow. The stepless control can move coarser, but frequent large changes are less convenient than using a dedicated single-dose all-purpose grinder. How does it compare with the Atom 75?The open-box Atom 75 offers larger burrs and faster commercial-style performance. The Specialita is the easier fit for most home counters.
