Many people keep a heart shape close as a soothing token — see more pieces for balance and wellness and our opalite collection. How to use it This puffy heart works well as a pocket piece, desk companion, or display item. As a glass material, it holds its polish and iridescence consistently, though slight variations in tone and size occur from piece to piece. Care & cleansing Opalite is man-made glass, so it should be kept dry rather than soaked — water won't dissolve it, but soaking or sudden temperature swings (like hot water followed by cold) can cause micro-scratches or cracking. Clean it with a soft, dry cloth, and cleanse energetically with sound or moonlight rather than water. Frequently asked questions What is the Opalite Puffy Heart? It's a polished, man-made opalescent glass shaped into a smooth puffy heart, about 2 inches across. Opalite is not a natural mineral — it's synthetic glass prized for its milky, iridescent glow. This is a decorative/symbolic piece, not a health product or medical device. Is opalite safe to get wet? No. Opalite is glass, and while it won't dissolve like a true water-soluble mineral, it can develop micro-scratches, cloud, or crack from thermal shock if soaked, boiled, or exposed to sudden temperature changes, so wipe it clean with a soft cloth instead. Is opalite fine for everyday handling or display? Yes — as glass, opalite is fairly durable for everyday display or handling, though it's not as scratch-resistant as harder natural crystals, so keep it away from rough surfaces and other hard stones in storage. How do I cleanse and charge opalite? Since opalite is man-made glass rather than a natural crystal, many people cleanse it symbolically with sound, moonlight, or a few minutes near selenite, then hold it while setting an intention — simple, low-risk methods that won't affect the glass. How can I tell it's opalite (glass) and not a natural stone? Opalite has a consistent, factory-smooth milky base with an even blue-to-peach iridescent sheen that shifts with the light; because it's manufactured, you won't see the natural mineral banding, inclusions, or texture variation found in genuine crystals. What pairs well with an opalite heart? Opalite's soft glow pairs nicely with other calming pale stones like angelite or celestite, or with clear quartz for extra shimmer; see our opalite collection and pieces for balance and wellness for more ideas. Pairs naturally with our Mahogany Obsidian Flat Heart (1").
