Online Breath Alcohol Technician Instructor Training: Alco-Sensor IV with Memory The online breath alcohol technician instructor training course was created by training experts with more than 30 years DOT testing and training experience. This course is accredited and students are eligible to receive continuing education credits. Students taking this course will receive the following certificates: Breath Alcohol Technician Breath Alcohol Technician Instructor Calibration Technician Training Phases Phase 1: Online Training 1. Procedural Training Module Covers federal regulations (49 CFR, Part 40) for alcohol testing 4-5 hours in length Students learn at their own pace Final exam covers regulations 2. Online Instrument Proficiency Module Covers features/functions of the Alco-Sensor IV with Memory and Accuracy Checks 2-3 hours in length Students learn at their own pace Final exam covers the instrument 3. Online Calibration Theory Module Covers Accuracy Checks/Calibration differences and Calibration principles 1 hour in length Students learn at their own pace Final exam covers calibration theory Phase 2: Live Instructor Lead Training Online Live instructor lead sessions are offered once per month. You will need to commit to a pre-set training date and time in advance of the class.
