It is a durable 4 ply yarn that doesn't skimp on the softness. This yarn is untreated merino wool so it will felt. Garments made with this yarn will need to be hand washed and air dried only.  Yarn Details: Cottage DK, merino wool 3.5 oz, 100 Grams/ 246 Yards 4ply/ DK Weight Recommended Needle Size: 4-6 This yarn is certified cruelty free.  Garments made from these yarns should be washed in cool or room temperature water with minimal agitation (it is agitation and heat that causes wool to felt) and lay flat to air dry.  This fiber was handdyed by ontheround using professional quality acid dyes. Dyed in small batches and no skein will be 100% the same- that's what makes working with hand dyed yarn so fun!
