World Language Workshop - On-Site Professional Development

Nothing beats in-person training to hone your craft as a teacher. Hands-on workshops are an energizing way for teachers to experience, understand, and practice new techniques and tasks. Departmental workshops also create a shared learning experience that colleagues can draw on long after the workshop. Your workshop can have a single theme for the whole day or include any combination of topics such as these: Classroom Routines Supporting Literacy Using Images and Videos Designing Effective Lessons and Units Brain Breaks to Reset Attention and Energy Games that Build Proficiency and Community Developing Interpersonal Speaking Skills Teaching a Novel Free Voluntary Reading Improv Skills and Games for World Language Uses and Challenges of AI Assessment All workshops focus on high-impact, research-informed, classroom-tested strategies, and are designed and facilitated by veteran teachers and trainers led by Justin Slocum Bailey, Director of Teacher Training. Effective teaching involves identifiable, learnable skills that the team is excited to help you hone! After you add this item to your cart and either check out or request a quote, we will contact you to discuss scheduling and to learn more about your group and its goals, in order to create the best possible training experience. The price of an on-site workshop is an all-inclusive flat fee that covers the workshop itself for as many attendees as you want, pre-workshop correspondence between the host and trainer(s), and follow-up resources, as well as necessary expenses of the trainer(s). You will not incur any additional charges for travel expenses or anything else. Note: if you are hosting the workshop as an event open to anyone (not just teachers at a specific school or district), you are welcome to charge a registration fee to offset the cost of the workshop.
