On Cloudswift 4 AD 'Black Rock' (3MF10570080)

On Cloudswift 4 AD 'Black Rock'The On Cloudswift 4 AD in Black Rock is the city running shoe built for the city runner's actual life. The Cloudswift is On's urban running platform — the shoe designed for the pavement of the city rather than the track or the trail, for the run that begins at the front door and ends there, for the runner whose training environment is the street grid rather than the park loop. The AD designation adds the dimension that city running specifically demands: an adaptive fit system that removes the friction between the decision to run and the act of running. In a city, time is the resource that running competes with everything else for. The Cloudswift 4 AD is the shoe that does not waste any of it. Black Rock is the colorway that belongs to the city at every hour — the color of the pavement before dawn and the shadow of the building at noon and the street at night when the lights are on and the rain is falling. Black Rock ColorwayBlack is the city's primary color — the color of the asphalt that city runners run on, of the buildings that define the route, of the sky before the sun rises and after it sets. It is the color that the city wears at its most functional and its most atmospheric. Rock is the grey that black becomes when light touches it — the grey of granite and concrete and the particular shade of urban infrastructure that has been present long enough to acquire a patina. On the Cloudswift 4 AD, Black Rock distributes these two tones across the shoe's architecture with the precision that city running demands: black for the upper, rock for the midsole and outsole, the two colors in a relationship that is as functional as it is considered. Black Rock is the colorway that does not announce itself in the city because it does not need to — it is already the city's color. Cloudswift 4 AD — Urban Running, AdaptiveThe Cloudswift 4 is built on On's urban running platform, which differs from the trail and track platforms in its optimization for the specific demands of city pavement: harder surfaces that require more consistent cushioning across the full foot strike, mixed-surface transitions that require outsole versatility, and the stop-and-start rhythm of urban running that requires a shoe responsive enough to handle both the sprint across the intersection and the easy pace of the long block. The CloudTec® configuration in the Cloudswift 4 is tuned for urban impact — the harder, more consistent forces of pavement running rather than the variable forces of trail or track. The Helion™ midsole compound provides the energy return that makes city running feel less like work and more like movement. The AD system — On's adaptive fit technology — replaces the traditional lace-up closure with a system that provides a secure, customized fit without the time investment of conventional lacing. The fit adapts to the foot's shape and volume, providing the hold that running requires without the adjustment that lacing demands. For the city runner whose morning begins with a run and continues with everything else, the AD system is the difference between the run that happens and the run that almost happened.
