They are designed to be worn during meditation or prayer and allows you to wrap yourself in holiness with sacred mantras. This particular shawl is decorated with the mantra “Om,” which was the first sound of the universe and is revealed in some Vedic scriptures as a means towards enlightenment. It is also worn for comfort when there is a cool breeze in the air. It is hand-dyed and hand-printed in terracotta with the mantra “Om” in decorative Sanskrit letters, an attractive contrast that highlights the ancient prayer.
