Olfacte Scented Candle - En Passant

The Audo Copenhagen Olfacte Scented Candle in En Passant captures those fleeting moments worth pausing for - the name literally means "in passing" in French, evoking a stroll through the garden after spring rain when everything smells fresh and alive. The scent opens with top notes of grapefruit, eucalyptus, and ginger that create this bright, purifying quality - there's something invigorating about that citrus-herbal-spice combination that feels like a deep breath of clean air. What makes En Passant different from typical floral candles is how those crisp opening notes set up the middle layer without being overly sweet or heavy. As the candle burns, middle notes of lavandin super, jasmine petals, and hyacinth emerge with this vivaciously verdant floral character that actually smells like walking through a real garden rather than artificial perfume. The hyacinth brings that distinctive spring bulb aroma, while jasmine adds subtle sweetness and lavandin provides herbaceous depth. Base notes of geranium, wild moss, and cedarwood ground everything with earthy, arboreal warmth that keeps the florals from feeling too delicate or fleeting. Available in three sizes - 2.8oz votive, 8.3oz poured glass candle, and 15.1oz statement candle - you can choose based on your space and how you plan to use it. The votive works perfectly for bathrooms or small spaces where you want that refreshing garden atmosphere, while the larger sizes fit living rooms or bedrooms where you're creating ambiance for longer periods. Each candle is responsibly made in the USA using natural essential oils and plant-based wax, which creates authentic floral complexity rather than those synthetic flower scents that can smell artificial or give headaches. The formula is free from parabens and phthalates, important when you're burning candles regularly in your home. The smoky grey heat-resistant glass container looks elegant sitting on counters or shelves, and once the wax is gone you can clean and repurpose the vessel as a small planter or storage jar instead of throwing it away - which actually feels fitting given the garden theme. Audo Copenhagen designed their Olfacte collection to capture specific moments and moods throughout daily life, and En Passant specifically addresses those times when you want to feel renewed, fresh, and awakened. The candle reflects their "soft minimalism" philosophy by creating layered scent complexity through carefully selected natural ingredients rather than overwhelming intensity. The combination of grapefruit, eucalyptus, jasmine, hyacinth, moss, and cedarwood creates a purifying floral fragrance that works for morning routines, afternoon resets, or whenever you need that feeling of stepping into a garden after rain. The use of natural essential oils and plant-based wax aligns with Audo Copenhagen's broader commitment to quality materials and responsible production, ensuring these candles meet the same standards as their furniture and lighting collections. En Passant works as part of creating intentional spaces that encourage you to pause and appreciate passing moments rather than rushing through them.
