Old Style Oracle

Old Style Oracle is a thoughtfully constructed cartomantic system designed for self-analysis, psychological insight, and intuitive divination. Created by psychologist and artist Alexander Ray, this 52-card oracle draws inspiration from antiquarian book engravings of the 15th–19th centuries, evoking the feeling of a timeless reference manual brought to life. Each card presents an archetypal symbol drawn from nature, human experience, myth, and everyday life—imagery that speaks directly to the subconscious. The deck is structured around categories, chakras, colors, and symbolic themes, allowing readers to identify emotional, spiritual, and situational patterns with clarity and depth. Old Style Oracle is designed to be both accessible and richly layered. It can be used for straightforward readings or explored as a deeper analytical tool that rewards careful observation over time. The included 104-page illustrated guidebook explains the system in detail and includes a fold-out reference chart for easy visual guidance during readings. Elegant, methodical, and quietly powerful, this deck bridges classical symbolism with modern psychological awareness.
