Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon 750ml

Old Forester Whisky 100 Proof Back in the 1870’s whiskey was shipped by the barrel, and once delivered it would be decanted and, very often, would also be diluted and its quality tampered with. Wanting to ensure that bourbon could be enjoyed at a consistently and medicinally high quality, something that at that time was simply not guaranteed, pharmaceutical salesman George Garvin Brown became the first person to supply pure and unadulterated whiskey sealed in a glass bottle. To verify it as a spirit of fine quality, each bottle would proudly bear a label, hand signed to assure its authenticity with the pledge: "This is mine, I guarantee every drop." Old Forester 'Signature' is an expression at 100 proof that honors this legacy and is created, like all Old Forester expressions, with the whiskey lover in mind. Signature is sure to meet the exacting requirements a discerning bourbon lover searches for; handpicked from selected barrels, the Old Forester's Master Distiller chooses only those that are exceptionally rich and mature, bursting with robustly intense, powerful flavors. A deep glowing copper amber color, it possesses a buttery sweet fragrance that evokes peanut brittle, cherry pie and spice. Take a sip, and experience the silky medium-full bodied mouth feel with flavors of melted chocolate and pecan pie, a sweet kiss of vanilla, creamy caramel, oak and spice. The finish is oh-so smooth with a hint of smoke laced through with a pleasant sweetness and the soft warm embrace of a fine bourbon. TASTING NOTES AROMA Strong, sweet coffee laced with chocolate, creamy butterscotch and a hint of liquorice. TASTE Ripe apple and other sweet fruit, bakery spice (clove and nutmeg), and toasted oak. FINISH Sweet and light, with hints of oak and apple that linger a bit.
