What's Included in the Bundle Old Forester Birthday Bourbon 2025 Release: The crown jewel of this collection, this highly allocated bottle marks the 25th anniversary of the Birthday Bourbon line. Bottled at a refined 92 proof, it carries a 12-year age statement, having been drawn from barrels laid down in 2013. In a historic first for the expression, the 2025 release was crafted using a "sweet mash" process rather than a traditional sour mash, creating an incredibly silky, delicate, and complex flavor profile. Expect inviting aromas of herbal tea, cardamom, and tropical fruit, followed by a palate of vanilla, sweet citrus, and clove spice. The finish leaves a lingering warmth of candied apple, burnt sugar, and leather. Old Forester Statesman: Originally created for the acclaimed Kingsman film franchise, this expression is blended from hand-selected casks pulled from the warmest places in the warehouse. It delivers an intense, robust profile of dark chocolate, oak, and bold spice, bottled at a smooth 95 proof. Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style: Representing the recipe and 115-proof profile that Old Forester produced for medicinal purposes during Prohibition, this cult-favorite bourbon hits the palate with intense dark fruit, rich caramel, and a deeply warming, spicy finish. Old Forester 1897 Bottled in Bond: Crafted to honor the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, this 100-proof expression ensures strict quality and purity. It offers a rich, robust tasting experience loaded with notes of roasted coffee beans, dark stone fruit, and classic Kentucky oak. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) Why is the 2025 Birthday Bourbon so unique? The 2025 edition is monumental because it celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Birthday Bourbon series. Furthermore, it is the first time Old Forester has utilized a "sweet mash" technique for this release, omitting the standard setback (sour mash) to let the yeast fully express a sweeter, fruitier, and more delicate profile. What is the proof of the bottles in this bundle? This bundle offers a fantastic range of proofs to explore. The 2025 Birthday Bourbon sits at an approachable 92 proof, the Statesman is 95 proof, the 1897 Bottled in Bond is exactly 100 proof, and the bold 1920 Prohibition Style clocks in at a robust 115 proof. How limited is the Old Forester Birthday Bourbon? It is exceptionally rare. Released only once a year on September 2nd to celebrate founder George Garvin Brown's birthday, it is drawn from a very small selection of hand-picked barrels, making it one of the most highly sought-after bourbons in the world.
