Tong Mu Village has 12 production teams for Lapsang Souchong, and each team is composed of a few families that live in the Tong Mu village area. Ma Su is one of them and is located at elevation about 1200 meters. Bei Bei Zhang comes from a five generational family that owns a tea plantation and is still producing Lapsang Souchong, both traditional smoked style and unsmoked style in Ma Su. After our visit to Bei Bei's family tea plantation in Ma Su this year and witnessing the entire production process, we are now able to bring this crown jewel of Chinese black tea to you! Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong or Lapsang Souchong is more than just the world's first black tea.
