It contributed DNA to every modern rose. Combined with Autumn Damask, Old Blush created the most fragrant reblooming old roses, the Bourbon roses. Old Blush appeared in Sweden in 1759, the first Asian rose to arrive in the western hemisphere. In China, Old Blush bloomed for thousands of years and is known in China as Yue Yue fen, monthly pink. The bush and climber both produce reddish hips in the fall. The Chinese used both petals and hips for health and beauty.  "I am the continuous bloom of inner strength."
