Martin's Old Ale Recipe Kit

Brewing your own beer just got a whole lot simpler. This Old Ale recipe kit comes with every pre-measured ingredient you need to brew Martin's Old Ale, a 5-gallon all-grain batch, from grain to glass. Old Ale earns its name in the cellar. It was traditionally a stock beer, brewed strong and kept for months or years before serving, sometimes blended back into younger ale. The long rest softened it and added a vinous, faintly tart depth that fresh beer cannot reach. The style runs dark amber to brown, with malt flavors of dried fig, molasses, and leather. A single Fuggle charge and a dose of dark candi syrup give this version a raisiny undercurrent, and at 7% it carries the warmth the style is known for. Give it a few weeks or months of conditioning and it settles nicely. What's In The KitYour Old Ale recipe kit includes everything below, portioned and ready to brew. All you add is water.
