Ohio Flame "Lunar" Artisan Fire Bowl – Handcrafted USA Steel

There's a particular stillness to a moonlit evening that a fire feature can either interrupt or deepen, and the Lunar Fire Bowl is built for the latter. Designed and crafted by artisan Matt Skillman, its eclipsing, waning silhouette echoes the moon itself rather than competing with the night sky around it. For hosts whose properties lean into quiet, after-dark ambiance rather than loud entertaining, it's a fire feature built to match that tone. The Lunar Fire Bowl — Capturing the Moon's Waning Profile in Steel Some fire features are built to be the loudest thing in the yard, and the Lunar Fire Bowl is deliberately not one of them. Its form emulates the waning profile of the moon, hand-forged by artisan Matt Skillman from thick carbon American steel into an eclipsing vessel of fire. The result is a piece that feels observational and quiet rather than showy, suited to properties where the evening experience is meant to slow down. An Eclipsing Silhouette Built for Quiet, Moonlit Evenings Where a broader celestial theme evokes the whole expanse of the night sky, the Lunar Fire Bowl narrows its focus to a single, familiar object: the moon itself, caught mid-eclipse. That specificity gives it a calmer, more contemplative presence than a piece built around the vastness of the cosmos. For hosts furnishing a property meant for unwinding rather than entertaining large groups, that quieter symbolism sets the right tone before a single flame is lit. The Same Lifetime Warranty and Rain Drain System Across Every Size The Lunar's quiet presence doesn't come at the cost of the engineering built into every Ohio Flame fire feature. It includes a substantial Rain Drain for water drainage and now ships with the 4" Round Blocking Plate and Standard Length Centering Tee to close it off if preferred. It's backed by Ohio Flame's Lifetime Warranty, so a piece inspired by something as enduring as the moon is itself built to last well beyond a single season. The Patina Finish deepens naturally over time, echoing the moon's own subtle shifts in tone. Why the Lunar Fits Properties Built Around Calm, After-Dark Ambiance Not every STR property is designed for big group gatherings — plenty are built around rest, restoration, and quiet evenings outdoors, and the Lunar Fire Bowl is made for exactly that kind of stay. Its calm, moon-inspired silhouette reinforces a slower pace rather than demanding attention the way a bolder statement piece might. At $899.99, it's an investment piece suited to properties that market themselves on tranquility as much as amenities. A Centerpiece for Stargazing Decks and Restorative Night Settings Properties with a stargazing deck, a quiet rooftop, or a secluded patio built for winding down benefit from a fire feature that complements that mood rather than working against it. The Lunar Fire Bowl's moonlit theme makes it a natural fit for those settings, giving guests something contemplative to sit with after dark. It's the kind of detail that reinforces a restorative-stay positioning without a single word of marketing copy. Three Sizes to Match a Signature Statement to Any Property Scale The Lunar comes in three sizes — 30", 37", and 41" — with steel thickness increasing from .148" at the smallest size up to .203" at the largest, adding quiet presence as the piece scales up. A smaller, secluded patio suits the 30" size, while a larger stargazing deck can anchor its space with the 41". That range lets hosts match the calm statement piece to the scale of their own restorative outdoor setting. For STR Hosts: A Fire Feature That Reinforces a Restorative Stay Hosts marketing a property around rest, quiet, and disconnection need amenities that reinforce that promise rather than undercut it with something loud or attention-grabbing, and the Lunar Fire Bowl does exactly that. It's a fire feature guests will sit with quietly rather than gather loudly around, which matters for properties positioned as a retreat rather than a party destination. That kind of tonal consistency is what makes a restorative-stay listing feel genuinely realized.
