Ogasawara Iron Kettle

Certain objects conspire to keep our thoughts present in the moment. The Ogasawara Iron Kettle is undeniably handsome, pleasantly weighty and most importantly, embraces the process.  Pure, unlined, cast iron has the potential to brew an impeccable cup and elevates an, otherwise, everyday experience. Suitable for stove top use.  Rikucho Ogasawara masterfully applied time-honored iron casting techniques from the region to create works that embody a distinctly modern aesthetic. Iron kettles offer numerous advantages: their superior heat distribution and retention ensure water stays hot for extended periods, while trace amounts of iron released during boiling can enhance both flavor and nutritional value. With proper care, cast iron not only develops a rich patina but also endures for over a century, making it a timeless addition to any home. 7"x 6"W x 8 1/4"H Material: Cast Iron (unlined) ; Made in Japan
