Crackling embers and pipe tobacco underneath, roasted pumpkin and té de canela through the middle, piloncillo and sweet vanilla pan de muerto over the top. It is the most complete scent in the set and the one that does the most work on its own. At roughly 9% vanillin it is also the heaviest for colour, alongside Xocolatl — a white base will warm toward amber over months. The live page flags canela as risky at high pH, so treat cold process as untested rather than assumed. Flashpoint of 200 °F is among the most generous here. Formulator’s shorthand: the one to reach for if you are making a single hero product rather than a range. It already contains the smoke, the food and the sweetness, so it needs no support from the rest of the collection. Part of a collection Día de los Muertos Ten scents drawn from the ofrenda itself. This one is the altar entire — smoke, food and sweetness in a single composition rather than a single offering. Shower Gels & Body Wash The canela and tobacco carry through surfactants; the pumpkin thins first. White bases warm toward amber over months. Use a vanilla colour stabilizer to hold a pale colour, or choose a cream, tan or amber base from the start. Flashpoint 200 °F / 93 °C Among the highest in the collection. Melt & pour poured at 140 °F has a very wide margin. We are not publishing usage percentages until it is issued — a ceiling we cannot certify is worse than no number at all. Need limits before it is published? Email hello@essentialsbycatalina.com and we will send the current figures from our supplier’s documentation. Please do not carry over the limits from another oil in this collection — they vary widely between fragrances, and two oils that smell related can certify very differently. ▤ Documents Safety Data Sheet and IFRA certificate in preparation <!– WHEN READY: change to , remove the “soon” class, and set the meta line back to “PDF · opens in a new tab” / “PDF · SKU ####”. –> SDS Safety Data Sheet Hazard identification, handling, storage and first-aid measures. Ours are concentrated, pure, undiluted and cosmetic grade. A concentrated oil means a lower fragrance load per batch — a little goes a long way, and your cost per unit drops even when the per-ounce price does not. Product compatibility is not the responsibility of Essentials By Catalina, Inc. We strongly advise sampling before committing to larger quantities so you can evaluate performance, compatibility and safety in your own formulation. Keep all products out of children’s reach.
