Jonard Tools OFI-50 Optical Fiber Identifier

Highlights: One-key operation for quick, simple fiber signal testing Identifies traffic direction with left and right LED indicators Detects 270 Hz, 1 kHz, and 2 kHz frequency tones with audible warning Clear display shows relative core power Includes adapters for bare fiber and multiple fiber optic cable sizes Sunshade helps reduce interference for more accurate readings Features: Supports continuous wave signal identification Compatible with 0.25 mm bare fiber applications Works with 0.9 mm, 2.0 mm, and 3.0 mm fiber sizes Uses dual InGaAs detectors for optical signal detection Operates on a standard 9V battery Compact handheld design for portable field use The Jonard Tools OFI-50 Optical Fiber Identifier is a compact handheld testing device designed for quick optical signal identification, traffic direction checks, and tone detection during fiber optic maintenance. It supports continuous wave signal identification across an 800 to 1700 nm wavelength range and detects 270 Hz, 1 kHz, and 2 kHz frequency tones with an audible warning. One-key operation keeps testing simple, while the clear display shows relative core power for easier field readings. The fiber identifier uses two Ø1 mm InGaAs detectors for optical signal detection and works with 0.25 mm bare fiber applications. Left and right LED indicators show signal direction, helping technicians confirm traffic flow during testing. The included adapters support 0.9 mm, 2.0 mm, and 3.0 mm fiber sizes for compatibility with common fiber optic cable types. A sunshade helps reduce interference during readings, and the fiber identifier is built to support portable use in field environments where visibility and handling matter. Powered by a standard 9V battery, the device measures 9 in x 2 in x 1 in and weighs 0.74 lb for practical handheld operation. With adapters, tone detection, signal direction indicators, and relative core power display, The Jonard Tools OFI-50 Optical Fiber Identifier supports efficient fiber testing in a compact format.
