Protein Skimmer Auto Time Delay

The Reef Octopus Protein Skimmer Auto Time Delay solves a common power-outage problem: during an outage, water drains from the display into the sump and raises the water level well above normal. If the skimmer restarts the instant power returns, it can overflow immediately into an already-elevated sump. This timer holds the skimmer off for 5 minutes after power resumes, giving sump level time to settle back to normal first. Delay: 5 minutes ±5% after power is restored Also protects: external/recirculating skimmer pumps from running dry on restart Indicators: red LED = power off to skimmer, green LED = power on Rating: 110V AC 60Hz only, maximum 120 watts Important: for 110V service only. Keep away from moisture, never handle the plug with wet hands, and unplug before servicing the skimmer or any connected equipment.
