Found only along a limited stretch of Madagascar coastline, it is a rarer, more distinctive variety within the broader jasper collection. In crystal tradition, its unusually uplifting energy is linked to both the heart chakra and the solar plexus chakra, tied to joy and easing stress — fitting for a worry stone meant for a difficult moment. How to use it Hold the stone with your thumb resting in the smooth groove, and rub it gently in slow, repetitive strokes whenever you want a small moment of calm — while waiting, during a stressful call, or before sleep. The Standard size (about 1.5–1.75") is easy to carry in a pocket or bag, while the Large size works well as a full palm stone for a desk or meditation space. Care & cleansing Ocean jasper is a true quartz-family stone at roughly Mohs 6.5–7, making it reasonably durable for daily handling. Brief rinsing under running water is generally fine to clear dust or oils from frequent touch, but avoid prolonged soaking, saltwater, and harsh chemicals, which can dull the polish over time. Dry it with a soft cloth afterward. If you prefer to cleanse energetically, gentle methods such as smoke, moonlight, or sound are common alternatives to water.
