Obsidian forms when felsic lava cools rapidly, preventing crystal formation. This rapid cooling results in the amorphous, glassy texture. It is commonly found in volcanic regions, often near the margins of rhyolitic lava flows.    Rainbow Obsidian is a powerful, grounding volcanic glass that acts as a shield against negativity. Spiritually, it is celebrated for drawing out deeply hidden emotional blockages, gently bringing past traumas to light, and absorbing the "shadow self" so you can release heartaches and embrace renewed self-confidence.
