OBSIDIAN™ FR-NYLON

OBSIDIAN™ FR-NYLON The proven Obsidian™ platform, now with flame-retardant protection. As Obsidian™ has become one of our most trusted materials for demanding engineering applications, we expanded the platform to meet the growing need for flame-retardant performance. Obsidian™ FR-Nylon combines the same mechanical strength, print consistency, and reliability customers expect from Obsidian™ with enhanced fire protection for safety-critical applications. Obsidian™ FR-Nylon has been engineered and validated across both Markforged® and open-source 3D printers to deliver dependable performance without compromising print quality. Designed for manufacturers requiring both structural performance and regulatory compliance, it maintains excellent surface finish, dimensional stability, and repeatable results while achieving a UL94 V-0 rating at 3.0 mm, providing reliable flame-retardant performance for demanding applications. In side-by-side comparisons, Obsidian™ FR-Nylon is a true one-to-one alternative to Markforged's Onyx™ FR, delivering comparable flame-retardant performance and print quality at a better value.
