The finish is long and satisfying, marked by fruit and a drying oak character. Oban is distilled using just two pot stills, making it one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland. Its whisky is often described as having a distinctive “West Highland” style, sitting between the dry, smoky character of the islands and the lighter, sweeter profile of Highland malts.
