Oatman (Milk & Honey) | Artisan Soap

The mining town of Oatman was named for Olive Oatman, kidnapped by Apaches and sold to the Mojave. She was later rescued in a trade in 1857 near the gold mining town. A few years later, two miners struck a $10 million gold vein and the population grew to over 3,500 in less than a year. Sadly, the mine was closed just a few years later and Oatman is now just one of many small ghost towns. You can still visit though. It's an easy journey along historic Route 66. You can even stay in the classic Durlin Hotel, in the same suite where Clark Gable and Carol Lombard once honeymooned. While there, enjoy a refreshing ice cream at Sweet Sally's and watch wild burros roam the streets. Maybe you can scare up a game of poker with the local miners who still work the area! We fashioned a soap that gently conditions and exfoliates with colloidal oatmeal, while keeping skin ultra hydrated. It's the perfect soap for gentle folk who need some tough (but gentle) cleaning power. It's also our FAVORITE winter soap for it's superior moisturizing qualities. NOTE: You'll see some darker discolored areas in these soaps where the colloidal oats got a little too greedy in attaching to oil molecules. This is why you're getting a great deal on this batch! While it's not quite as perfect as we like. we wanted to offer it to you as it's truly effective! Take it along with you on your visit to Oatman with our on-the-go wanderlust gift pack!  Ingredients distilled water | saponified oils of olea europaea (olive) fruit | oryza sativa (rice germ)  | cocos nucifera (coconut) | ricinus (castor) communis seed butyrospermum parkii (shea butter) | theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter | colloidal oatmeal | cera alba (beeswax) | raw honey | fragrance *Organic **RSPO Sustainably Sourced Palm Oil (RSPO) Please note:  All soaps are handmade in small batches with pure, natural, high quality ingredients so the color and look of this soap varies slightly from batch to batch.
