Pro-werks Plated Steel Nylock Nuts, Grade 5

Plated steel grade 5, with nylon insert provides a right hand UNF thread friction grip.   Nylon Inserted When a shake proof fastener is desired and conventional locking washers are not, a Nylock insert nut is often the desired choice. Available in your choice of either a Full Height or Half Height version, in moderate quantities suitable for most projects.  Full Height – Full Strength A Full Height Nylock Nut may be used in either tension or shear applications.  The nylon insert serves as a retention device for the fastener. Half Height – Save Weight   The Half Height Nylock Nut is typically selected for shear load applications. The thin design of this nut provides a limited number of threads, resulting in less strength when placed in tension. The nylon insert serves as a retention device for the fastener.
