Nyacca Baitfish

This is a MUST HAVE pattern for fishing roosterfish in Baja - but it will work just about anywhere that big fish eat their smaller cousins. The key to the success of this pattern is the multi-layered feather tail which gives the fly action even when it is dead-drift-diving in between fast retrieves.  This fly is the brainchild of James Shaughnessy - owner of Beulah Fly Rods and Fly Fish Mex. Fly Fish Mex is a fly fishing resort in Baja Mexico where you can hire Baja's best guides to chase big roosters as well as everything else that swims near Baja (except whales - they do not fly fish for whales).
