Nutrition PowerPoint Bootcamp and Handouts When you need to look your very best now... Learning objectives & benefits: Nutrition basics are important, but there are a lot of them. We cannot count the times we have received calls for a "basic nutrition show." This show was created for a dietitian who needed to teach a nutrition bootcamp for 8 hours but she had less than a week to create such a show so we built this one just for her. This dynamic show takes everything you learned in a nutrition textbook, plus the Dietary Guidelines, the food group/MyPlate concept of using food groups to create a balanced diet, FDA Nutrition Facts Labels and food claims plus "nutrients" and trends, portion control and calorie density plus beverage sense and more. It gives the consumer a complete overview of nutrition, so there is no more confusion.  The best part is that it reassures everyone you do not need to be a nutrition expert or spend a lot of money on weird things to eat right. There are no fads. Using MyPlate and the Nutrition Facts Label is common sense to get the nutrients needed in the calories allotted. No one is dying of scurvy anymore, but they are dying in droves from heart disease, stroke, cancer, and diabetes, the result of too many calories and not enough exercise.  This huge show combines all the main up-to-date food and nutrition information into one very informative one. We combined Dietary Guidelines for Americans, MyPlate, nutrition basics, all of the latest research, what is going on in the grocery store, new FDA food labels, WHO recommendations, CDC stats, dietary reference intakes, and supplements. This show has it all. You can use the whole thing for a one-day class or break it down into many sessions. You could even grab parts here and there as you need them. It is a Nutrition Bootcamp for any use!  Here is what participants will learn: What nourishes you?
