If you’re looking for fine jewelry for nurses or jewelry for nurse graduate, this nurse necklace jewelry will make a wonderful gift! The great thing about this nurse jewelry is that you can customize the bar necklace with your name, or the name of the nurse! But, what is the significance of the nurse symbol? Well, the nurse symbol is called the “caduceus” and it portrays two snakes wrapped around a staff with wings at the top and the letters “R” on the left and “N” on the right, abbreviated for “registered nurse.” The Caduceus of Hermes originated from Greek mythology, and this symbol had been associated with alchemists around the 17th century. In 1902, the medical department of the United States Army adopted the caduceus as the primary symbol for medicine. Today, this symbol is still used as the symbol indicating medical professionals and nurses. Whether you are looking for yourself or for someone else, the nurse and wearer will definitely appreciate this beautiful sterling silver nurse jewelry.   --------------------NECKLACE DETAILS-------------------- Size: 1.25" Wide Metal: Sterling Silver, gold or rose gold Chain: 18" chain   METAL You have the option of choosing between three different metals.
