NuMex College Pepper Seeds

The NuMex College 64L pepper is another variety pumped out of New Mexico State University that has a shape similar to Anaheim peppers and a heat level comparable to the Jalapeno pepper. Expect these peppers to grow up to 3 ft. tall and produce good yields of these teardrop-shaped pods that expand up to 5” in length. Easy to grow, Numex College peppers start out growing as a bright green pod and mature to its spicy red color. Using Numex College peppers depends on when you harvest them. Their heat levels and flavors are contingent on this, as well. When green, these peppers have less heat and spice, making them useful in fresh foods and cooking in mild dishes. However, when red, the heat and spice increase and they make for wonderful chili powders, ristras, and are fantastic for roasting.
