NP5Fa Fender

Description Tone Magnet Types Dimensions Artists Ripping from the atmosphere of fat-slap angled-P tone, the NP5FA has come to bat the unrelenting sonar of funkified and thick-flickering bwap. Mapping this pickup’s personality can be done in analogy to the metamorphosis that occurs from NP4 to NP4a: a slick-hitting, hotshot larynx bolstered by a bombastisizing slant—an angle of aggression transformative of agogic sincerity, forged in the embodiment of Fender-correct string spacing. The sound is bold chiroptera gesticulating manifold on the background of an ancient and holy precision effort; a machine that is winged hands perpetuating the rough glint of the NP5f, with an infusion of density and growl singing between the mids and lows. And so, as the 5-string player prepares to play, the pickup’s potential actualizes just as a cloud of skymice falls slant with vigorous hunger, and the awesome, hornwinged creatures yap in oxymoronic somethingorothers: a song that thwarts, a song that sustains its appetite driven dance: a slap-callous fury done beautifully. In comparison to the NP5F, the NP5FA registers extra growl and sustainability, leaving the player with a dimension of play that suggests double, multiple, etc. With how many bodies will your powlbwapslap blot its exclamation-turned throat?   Technical Details: Hum-canceling split coil 5 string precision-type bass pickup. Furbished with Nordstrand's famous angled pole pieces. Fender Spacing Drop-in replacement P-bass pickup. Available in black plastic covers. Available in alnico III or V magnets. Laser cut, fiber bobbins with Formvar wire. Potted in a wax mix to contain any unruly frequency that may attempt to desecrate your desired tone   History: The NP5FA was created in order to give 5-string Fender players the same sound available to 4-string players through the NP4a. We extracted the sound from the sky, stole the voluptuous flail of pathological flittermice and found that the precision of their angular flaps fit what we needed rather well. Its essence may also have something to do with the Nordstrand brand angled pole piece configuration, but we prefer to leave the reasoning behind such a qualification up to the player. This added boost to Fender spacing has been a long time coming, and we at the Nordstrand lab could not be happier with the finished product. *Not exactly what you are looking for?  Email the shop directly or call the shop at: 909-790-2548 to find out about our many custom pickup options. Tonal Balance = 5 1=Dark/Bass-Heavy, 10=Bright/Less Bass   Mids = 5 1=Less Mids, 10=More Mids   Dynamics = 5 1=Slow, Loose, Blurry, 10=Quick, Tight, Controlled   Character/Color = 6 1=Flat, Plain, 10=Colorful   Alnico III magnets differ from Alnico V in that they are warmer with a softer character. Think of them like a 60’s J style sound taken even further down the warm and fat path. Alnico V by contrast is brighter, cleaner and punchier, and will have a more wiry, stringy character. As another example, we’d recommend A3 for fretless or a fat 60’s Jaco type thing and A5 is great for a modern slap type thing or an R and B sound. Alnico V comes standard.
