NOVA AONIC 2

A Feeling of Freedom. The AONIC 2 is a high-end EN A paraglider that delivers the rare combination of sportiness, performance, and safety. Designed for both training and long-term progression, it’s an ideal choice for pilots who want a glider that continues to inspire confidence and fun well beyond their first flights. Technically More Sophisticated. Noticeably Simpler. The AONIC 2 (EN/LTF A) sets new standards for High-A gliders. With 51 cells, an optimized line setup, refined curvature, and high-end materials, it achieves a perfect balance between safety, performance, and precision. Expect a glider that’s easy to handle yet technically advanced—offering maximum stability, excellent thermal performance, and a smooth, relaxed flying experience. Safety + Performance = AONIC 2 The AONIC 2 proves that safety doesn’t have to mean compromise. It’s secure enough for instruction yet offers the kind of performance that makes it enjoyable for thermal flying, XC adventures, and recreational flights alike. It’s a wing that grows with you—keeping flying safe, exciting, and rewarding. The AONIC 2 defines how far the EN-A class can go: a paraglider that uncompromisingly combines safety, performance, and pure flying fun. What Makes the AONIC 2 Unique 51 cells – stability & precision High-class profile fidelity in the A-class. Exact handling, clearer feedback, more efficient glide and climb. Mini Ribs – efficiency in thermals Double the number of cells at the trailing edge. More precise brake feedback. A smoother, more aerodynamic canopy. Reduced line concept Less drag, less complexity on the ground. More performance – especially in accelerated flight. New brake geometry More attachment points for a more even brake distribution. Smooth landings thanks to excellent flare characteristics. Improved pitch and collapse stability Remains calm in active air, even if things get turbulent. Less stress, more enjoyment. Who is the AONIC 2 Made For? The AONIC 2 isn’t a traditional training glider—it’s made for pilots who want to keep progressing and truly enjoy the sport. For students ready for their first personal wing that offers more than just forgiveness. For AONIC 1 fans who want the same familiar feel with improved precision, performance, and thermal efficiency. For pilots seeking both safety and fun in everyday flying. For returning pilots who want to regain confidence quickly. In short, it’s the glider for those who don’t want to be underchallenged—but never overchallenged either. Materials Every fabric and line on the AONIC 2 was chosen to deliver the perfect mix of durability, lightness, and performance: Nose Upper Surface: Porcher Skytex 38 – highly tear-resistant and robust for long-term use. Upper & Lower Surface: Skytex 27 Classic 2 – double-coated, UV-resistant, and durable. Internal Structure: Skytex 32 Hard Finish – minimal stretch for consistent profile shape. Lines: A combination of sheathed main lines and drag-optimized gallery lines, keeping setup simple and clean. This carefully tuned material mix results in a lighter yet stronger wing—built for years of reliable performance. Technology Less Knots, Less Drag: The simplified two-line design reduces the number of elements, making line sorting easier and cutting down on aerodynamic drag. Consistent at Top Speed: Thin webbing connects the upper and lower surfaces at the leading edge, improving solidity and maintaining canopy shape when accelerated. Under Pressure – NOVA Air Scoop: The optimized air intake increases internal pressure, much like the ram-air ducts on a sports car, giving the wing more stability, resistance to collapse, and better overall performance. Think Outside the Box: Curved rods form continuous loops instead of being stitched in two parts. This smart detail reduces seams, supports the Air Scoop system, and saves weight and volume. Flat Profile Nose – Double 3D Shaping: Extra seams at the nose minimize creasing in the fabric, improving aerodynamic efficiency and overall glide performance. Light, Durable & Everyday-Ready: Developed under the motto “as light as possible, as solid as necessary,” the AONIC 2 uses a smart material layout: lightweight fabric where possible, sturdier fabric where needed. The result is a glider that’s lightweight, durable, and ideal for daily flying—delivering dependable performance, easy handling, and lasting fun in the sky. Thanks to its square shape, your folded wing can be easily stored in the bag. Openings in the bottom of the bag allow good ventilation. NOVA Riser Bag: This convenient little bag will protect your risers while transporting or storing your wing. NOVA windsock: So you know where the wind is coming from, we have added a NOVA windsock. With a length of approximately 80cm it is large enough for a take-off site. Repair kit: Everyone hopes it will never happen: a hole or tear in the paraglider. We have included a minor damage repair kit in the right colour or transparent for such an eventuality. Manual: We have enclosed a very detailed manual which contains everything you need to know about your flying equipment. Please study it before flying your gear for the first time.
