The upper half of the column is gear driven and cranks up or down for fine or fast adjustment. The upper half of the column allows the user to increase the elevation by hand using the quick release clamping mechanism. The removable and rotating top plate and tension knobs allow the user to attach and align an instrument. 5/8 x 11 Thread Size.
