Northern Flicker

Northern Flicker - North American Bird Series - Vitreous Enamel on Copper Wall Art… The Northern Flicker is a large, brown woodpecker with a gentle expression and handsome black-scalloped plumage. Other than hanging in your art collection, Northern Flickers are often found in the open woodlands of North America. Like other woodpeckers, they nest in the cavities of trees but unlike other woodpeckers, Northern Flickers forage on the ground eating mainly insects, like ants and beetles, along with fruits and seeds. Northern Flicker is a single, enameled panel.  The hammered surface texture increases the reflective sparkle and projects the bird forward from the background. This handmade Vitreous Enamel Art can be hung on your wall, displayed on a shelf, or placed on a tabletop.  The overall presentation is enhanced by the enamel panels appearing to float above the elegant acrylic background in a deep gallery frame.  Each wall piece is completed with a hanging wire and a dust cover backing.  We also include: information about your special piece and the artist, a complimentary wall hanger with nail, and felt bumpers - so you are ready to hang your new piece the minute it arrives!  Portrait Orientation: 7-1/8" (w) x 9-1/8" (h) x 1-3/8" (d)
