Nordost QKOI Plus-ins

QRT AC ENHANCER / AC LINE HARMONIZER PLUG-INS QKOIL, QSINE, QVIBE, and QWAVE AC Load Resonating Coil Allows for greater musicality and improves tonal balance Increases clarity of imaging, including sharpness, depth and focus Lowers the noise floor Load resonating coil using patented Micro Mono-Filament technology Mechanically tuned carbon-fiber body Gold-plated connectors               AC Line harmonize Introduces carefully calculated range of harmonic frequencies to the AC line, clocked from the AC line itself Improves sound and picture quality Lower background noise Increases depth of soundstage Mechanically tuned carbon-fiber body Gold-plated connectors               AC Enhancer The QSINE enhances the AC signal in a sound system by introducing a specific frequency field onto the circuit path. Reduces EMI on AC line. Lowers perceived background noise. Increases the clarity, detail, and pacing of musical reproduction. Allows for greater musicality and improves tonal balance. Mechanically tuned carbon-fiber body Gold-plated connectors               AC Line harmonize The QWAVE manipulates the sine wave by sampling the AC and inserting a series of pulsed frequencies back into the AC line Increases the imagery, dimensionality, and presence of the sound stage. Provides deeper, more dimensional and vibrant picture on AV systems. Mechanically tuned carbon-fiber body Gold-plated connectors Nordost’s QRT AC Enhancers and AC Line Harmonizers are a range of modular, complimentary AC products which improve upon the poor-quality AC that negatively affects the audio/video performance of two-channel and home entertainment systems. Despite their overarching synergy, each Nordost plug-in can be used as a stand-alone product, providing its own, unique solution to the “AC problem”. Nordost's AC Enhancers, the QKOIL and the QSINE, are both passive field generators. While the QKOIL generates a field created by its Micro Mono-Filament-made Load Resonating Coil (LRC), the QSINE reshapes the sine wave by introducing specific frequency fields onto the circuit path which, in turn, lowers the effects of EMI noise embedded into the AC power. Nordost's AC Line Harmonizers, the QVIBE and the QWAVE, on the other hand, are active devices. They each introduce their own carefully calculated ranges of pulsed frequencies, clocked from the original 50 or 60Hz waveform, directly onto the AC line. This manipulation of the AC signal allows these products to better control the harmonics and overtones attributed to many improvements, not least of which is the enhanced realism of both the musical and visual aspects of performance. While the effects of Nordost's QRT plug-ins are clearly apparent when used individually, the benefits of the QVIBE, QKOIL, QSINE, and QWAVE are cumulative and are best enjoyed when integrated into a full suite of QRT products. Once integrated into a hi-fi system, listeners will notice: A reduction of EMI on the AC line A lower noise floor An increase in the clarity, detail, and pacing of musical reproduction Increased imagery and dimensionality of the soundstage Greater musicality and improved tonal balance A deeper, more dimensional and vibrant picture on AV Systems     REVIEW & AWARDS A PAIR OF TWEAKS FROM NORDOST QVIBE AND QKOIL - Read More "There's no doubt the QV2s give you a generous mid-and-upper-bass assist, and the QK1s round and flesh out the treble range. From the hefty, well-defined low-end into the clear mids and the soft-edged, non-abrasive highs, frequency response and tone are beautifully rendered. The palpable illusion of instruments present is . . .” – Marshall Nack   NORDOST QRT SYSTEM REVIEW - Read More "Reviews sometimes assume a life of their own. This review or at least the idea for this review began when a friend (Sherri) brought a number of Nordost QKOIL models (QV2/QK1) to my home one afternoon so that I could hear them in my system. I had previously visited her home for a demonstration of the QK1 and QV2 and really liked what they did in her system, but was not sure how they might affect my own system. The effects of each. . ." – Fred Crowder, Dagogo   NORDOST QRT POWER PRODUCTS REVIEW. PART 3 OF 3: QVIBE QV2 AC LINE HARMONIZER & QKOIL QK1 AC ENHANCER - Read More "We’ve talked about the Qv2 and the QK1 separately but bringing them together was another experience unto itself. With all four (two Qv2’s and two QK1’s) plugged into the QBASE, the best of both was achieved. There was greater warmth, yet also greater focus and pace. There was an increased sense of naturalness but . . ." – George de Sa, NOVO   Enjoy the Music.com's Great Holiday Gift Guide 2022 - Read More "Nordost, out of Holliston, MA, not Norway, is one of the premier cable manufacturers in the world. They often run comparative demonstrations of their products at audio shows that I've found instructive on several occasions. It was there that I first encountered their Qv2 AC Line Harmonizer. I listened intently with the Qv2 both in and out of the AC power strip, but I could hear little difference. Sometimes it takes a while to pick up on minor differences when you don't know exactly what it is you should or should not be hearing. In my case, it would be years before a friend brought one over for me to try in my system. In the familiar surroundings of my own listening room it was easy to hear the difference it makes."   AVAILABLE CONNECTORS     SPECIFICATIONS Dimensions - US (HxD) 81.6 x 36.75mm Voltage 115V or 230V
