Description eBook PDF Format This set includes 29 guided reading passages with follow-up comprehension questions. The passages have been specifically written to introduce children to new vocabulary words from history, science, social studies and more. As there are many new and larger words included, it is not expected that first-graders will fluently read the passages on their own. These are guided reading passages and as such, we suggest sitting alongside students while they read. Alternatively, you can read the passage aloud beforehand, pointing out new or difficult words. Follow-up comprehension questions and activities are provided below each passage.  ATOS reading level scores are provided for reference. These are not grade level suggestions.   Please Note this product is included in our R.E.A.D.
