The cover is completed with a zipper that makes cleaning and storing this cover during the off season a cinch. SKILL Knitting DIFFICULTY Intermediate SIZES One Size FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Height: 16¼” Width: 24” MATERIALS (INCLUDED) Yarn Vibes Cliffs of Moher (60% Irish wool, 40% virgin wool; 100g/164 yds) • 03 Sandstone (MC) – 3 hanks • 09 Emerald (CC1) – 1 hank • 07 Berry (CC2) – 1 hank MATERIALS (NOT INCLUDED) Needle: US Size 7 (4.5 mm) 16-24” circular or size needed to obtain gauge US Size 6 (4 mm) 16-24” circular or size needed to obtain gauge Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers, spare US size 6 circular needle (for grafting), one 17-18” cream or red-colored zipper, 16x24” pillow form, sewing needle and thread, sewing pins GAUGE 20 sts x 20 rnds = 4” in stranded knitting (refer to Back Chart) with larger ndl after blocking 20 sts x 24 rnds = 4” in Diamonds patt with smaller ndl after blocking Save time, check your gauge. PATTERN NOTES These pillows are worked in the round from side to side. Stitches are cast on and worked in the round in one piece. A diamond motif decorates each end of the pillow, and stranded colorwork decorates the center. After the correct length is achieved, stitches on one end are grafted together. A zipper is installed along the cast-on edge of the pillow. This pattern uses the stranded method for colorwork. There are several instances in which you must carry one color across long distances. Be sure to trap your floats every 4-5 stitches to prevent puckering in the fabric. Please note that the stranded colorwork motif is charted only. Change colors as indicated on charts.
