“No Weld” MLS Hanger

We use the same 3/8″ AR550 laser cut “hook” on our “No Weld” MLS Hanger that we’ve always used, and it’s still compatible with every target in the MLS (Modular Locking System) line.  The difference is the 2×4 tube steel cap now has two laser cut slots in it for the hook to slide through.  The “No Weld” MLS Hanger is retained with a single 3/8″ carriage bolt and nylock nut. You might be asking, “why is this better?”.  Well we’ll tell ya why!  Primarily, because we don’t have to weld the AR550 hook to the mild steel 2×4 tube steel cap.  You’ve heard us talking for 20+ years how welding to AR is bad for it.  We’ve know this all along, but couldn’t figure out how to do it better until now!  No weld means no weakened AR plate which means longer life! BUT WAIT!!  THERE’S MORE!!!  That’s right kids!  Not only do you get a better product at the same low price, you now have interchangeability with two completely different product lines!  The MLS Hangers and the Steel Challenge Hangers are both interchangeable.  Both of these these systems utilize the laser cut 2×4 tube steel, so all you have to do is remove one bolt, slide out the your existing hanger, slide in your new hanger, snug up the bolt and you’re ready to rock and roll!  There might be a more robust and modular system out there someplace, but we doubt it! If you want to hear what these plates sound like when they’re hit, check out this video.
