No Seconds Tee

Description: Introducing the powerful and thought-provoking No Seconds Tee from Explore Block Island. This tee encapsulates the passionate struggle against inequality and the housing crisis that plagues our beloved island. Short term rentals have decimated the housing market for the hard working individuals who make up the backbone of this island.  The average income is $39,000 per year but the cheapest house on the market is $995,000.   Workers must suffer overcrowded and uncertain conditions if they are lucky enough to find a place to live, while corporations snatch up properties as investments left and right, and wealthy mainlanders spend on vacation homes, unconcerned about whether the person serving them caviar has a place to call home themselves. The design features a mouthwatering slice of pizza on a plate, representing the basic necessities of life that we all deserve. Beneath it, the words "No One Gets Seconds Until Everyone Has A Piece" serve as a rallying cry for justice and fairness.  With the Explore Block Island branding on the inside collar, this tee stands as a symbol of solidarity and resilience within our community. It is a heartfelt reminder of the exorbitant costs of housing and the ever-present uncertainty of the Block Island shuffle, forcing hardworking residents out of their homes time and time again. Wear the No Seconds Tee with pride and join the movement for a more equitable and inclusive Block Island. Together, we can strive for a future where everyone has a fair chance to thrive and call this island home. .: 100% cotton .: Medium fabric (5.3 oz/yd² (180 g/m²)) .: Classic fit .: Runs true to size
