No Hospitals Tee

Introducing the No Hospitals Tee, a powerful reminder of the lack of medical facilities on Block Island and the need for personal responsibility in prioritizing safety. This design serves as a wake-up call to both tourists and islanders alike. At the center of the tee is a heart symbol with a medical plus sign inside, representing the importance of health and well-being. Underneath the symbol, bold lettering states, "Don't Be An Idiot, There Are No Hospitals Here," delivering a straightforward message that resonates with the island's reality. The absence of hospitals on Block Island is a crucial fact. While the dedicated men and women at the small clinic work tirelessly, their resources and capabilities are limited. They handle minor injuries and illnesses but lack the necessary equipment to address serious medical emergencies. The prevalence of drunk driving, especially among both tourists and islanders, along with inexperienced moped drivers, compounds the potential dangers on the island. This design draws attention to the alarming issues of drug overdose, roofies, and alcohol poisoning that can arise within the Block Island community. In cases where the clinic is ill-equipped to handle emergencies, medical helicopters must be employed at significant costs. The No Hospitals Tee serves as a reminder to think twice before engaging in risky behavior that may lead to dire consequences. The No Hospitals Tee serves a critical purpose in raising awareness about personal safety and responsible decision-making. It encourages individuals to consider the potential risks and to take necessary precautions, ultimately aiming to prevent accidents, injuries, and medical emergencies on the island. The tee is available in various colors, allowing wearers to make a statement while expressing their commitment to promoting a safer and more responsible community. The Explore Block Island branding subtly featured on the inside collar serves as a reminder of the shared mission to prioritize well-being. By wearing the No Hospitals Tee, individuals actively contribute to the collective effort of fostering a culture of safety, reminding others to think before engaging in potentially hazardous behavior and to protect themselves and others. .: 100% cotton .: Medium fabric (5.3 oz/yd² (180 g/m²)) .: Classic fit .: Runs true to size
